Hi,

I don't know if there was already a thread about it, but I wanted to ask... Is "SPECFNU" presented only as CMD command, or it's also in SoundShaper as well (I looked in Formants submenu, but didn't find such)? Same question for "STRANGE" functions.

Why I am asking about those, it's that I was trying to see which functions in CDP can do frequency shifting effects, and I've seen those mentioned above in documentation.

One thing I liked in the recently released SoundThread GUI, you can open up a "search" and start inputting names of programs. Is it also possible in other GUIs? Just curious.

By the way, "process table" button in SoundShaper works for me in all menus except "data" (just mentioning in case you've missed this).

For some reason, if I do changes to breakpoint values and save it and then do preview, it might not register the changes. So I had to re-open breakpoint file and only then do preview and get hearable results.

Is that expected behaviour? Thanks.

So I was doing some sound exploration and saved the patch. Next time, when I load the patch and press "run", and then go to various cells, it keeps saying "file does not exist". Same behaviour when loading automatically with source audio, and when loading without source and then replacing it. The source in "A0" plays fine, but the problem is with process cells further in table.

Perhaps I did something wrong? Please advice.

Also, for some reason, while in A0 it says "snd1.wav", in A1-A4 cells it changes to "* snd1.wav".

And report window says the following:

When trying to launch Soundloom, I get following error:

Fatal Error in Wish
System Encoding

I think this is because my OS is cyrillic.
I remember that Trevor Wishart had special executable file replacement that fixed it on his website, but from what I recall it was provided for very old (by now) version of SoundLoom.
Perhaps new one could be compiled and provided with recent release?

For those, who like me, still uses "legacy" version of Windows 10 and was slightly confused by explanations in Installation Notes for CDP.
As it's a bit different from how it is done in up to date versions of Windows 10 (and different from pre-win10 experience as well), steps are following...

In upper field you can see "Path" variable, choose it and click "edit...", then it opens a table of various paths, from there you choose "create..." and input C:\CDPR8\_cdp\_cdprogs (or what you have instead) and then confirm it.

I have CDP 7.1 installed which I use together with Soundshaper 5. Both were installed into "C:\cdpr7" directory while following instructions from documentation.
Now I see that Soundshaper 6 was released, and CDP 8 is upcoming in the future.

I'd like to ask what would be a best way to update my installation in a way that everything continues to work as intended. I can wait for full CDP 8 release, but I'm still curious what would be the most correct way to do updates.
