I remember older versions of soundshaper that had a cross synth command. Is it possible to add it in ss version 6? where can I found it?

Hi, I'm sorry I didn't pick this up earlier. If you still haven't found it - go to Spectral | Formants | Cross: this replaces the spectral envelope of the first sound with that of the second. For those new to this effect, it's similar to vocoding, but with more clarity, and works best if the second sound is fairly articulated / rhythmic and the first sound is relatively static. You can think of this either as rhythmicising the static sound, or conversely giving some pitch to the rhythmic sound. Although it's called cross-synthesis, no actual synthesis is involved.

In Soundshaper, the second sound is normally chosen from row B; also the program will auto-convert both soundfile sources into spectral files (which should both have the same conversion rate).
