It says "Soundloom is damaged" and wants to move it to the trash.

This is the usual message from MacOS "Gatekeeper" for any "unsigned" application downloaded from the net.  This has been annoying CDP users since Mountain Lion. Currently the least complicated way to circumvent this is to type the following command into Terminal - this assumes Soundloom.app is placed in the /Applications folder:

xattr  -rc  /Applications/Soundloom.app

This removes Soundloom.app from the "quarantine" in which the OS puts it, and thereafter it should run as expected.

Proviso: I have yet to update to Mojave (I tend to wait a while in case there are issues), but is known to work in High Sierra.

My fault. Seems to work OK, if you install with the sh terminal file provided in extras folder. Apply permissions to read and write to enclosed files on the cap folder and  replace the progs files with e new ones from the download page for Mac

I am glad you have got it working, but the permissions aspect is of concern.  We had so many permissions problems reported when users used third-party tools such as UnArchiver to unzip the distribution, that we have had to advise that users only use the native Apple utility (when you just double-click on the zipfile). I have yet to update to Mojave (I only have the one machine, and like to wait some weeks in case problems are reported). So it will be very helpful to know if you used the Apple utility, or a third-party tool.

I noticed both housekeep and houskeep are in the new Mac prog zip. Should I delete the houskeep file?
