I am aware of this and have re-uploaded (virus checked, original files) the whole site, and removed a couple of pages that might have been the issue
-Javascipt contact form seems to have been attracting the spammers etc.

Also, updated the SMF forum software and changed passwords.

The Google report suggests that somewhere there is code that redirects the user to hcl.gr. I have not as yet found that code

In truth Google (the evil empire) has not as yet responded to my request to remove the 'Red warning' following the above.

So, dear users I think it is safe here atm, but if anyone has seen that redirect I would be grateful if you could let me know, either here or send mail to me.

Also , I suggest changing passwords as a matter of course.

Some work still to be done, they should be on Github in the next week or so.
I'll  post a link  then.

I'll check with Richard,
Looks like an error in updating that report, as the file creation dates are May 2016

Announce / CDP 7.1 Update available
« on: July 25, 2016, 01:52:59 PM »
Dear all,
Thanks to the tireless and continuing efforts from Richard Dobson I am pleased to announce that version 7.1 is now available

For PC
http://unstablesound.net/downloads/cdpr71win32-07-16.zip

For Mac
http://unstablesound.net/downloads/cdpr71mac-07-16.zip

These are updates to all CDP soundfile programs (apart from the Windows GUI ones), with the all-important modification to sfsys to make the
environment variable CDP_SOUND_EXT optional, defaulting to wav. It also restores proper behaviour preserving sample type (24bit, floats etc) and
use of the -f prefix for output files, which had somehow got lost in the previous release. The change to the environment variable essentially
means programs can now be used directly without an installation/configuration step.

Just copy all executables to the existing _cdprogs folder.

I should add the usual caveat of making a backup first.

Happy sonic mangling!
Simon

Hi Richard,
Win 7 x64 Pro  here ( running virtual machine, that is otherwise functioning, in Vmware on a Mac,)
Just tried again with various directories, none with spaces, still getting the 'Unable to create outfile etc etc' that Mesayre is also finding.

A 32 vs 64 bit thing?

Also strange that demo of 1.11 produces output.
1.2 here.

Ahh, hello Grainmill my old friend, haven't used that since my old PC died.

I can confirm the same problem on a Vmware Fusion virtual W7 pro machine.

Hopefully Richard D will be along soon to advise

Hello Mike
Welcome!

As Logan says, it can be quite slow around here, its probably that people are just busy doing it.

Feel free to ask any questions that arise, quite a number of us have been using the CDP software for a while, so lots of experience to draw upon.

Happy sonic mangling!

Wow, seriously wacky file names indeed!

>E:\Sound\Workspace\Altarr_35951641_0.wav1.lua1466
                                                                    ^^^
Spaces in filename here?
Personally I found it easier to keep naming really short, my bad typing/tryping usually

General Board / Re: mixing method with soundfile length?
« on: March 18, 2016, 06:41:56 PM »
My tuppence worth...apologies to those who, I know, think otherwise.

Mixfiles are really not what the CDP software is good for.
There are applications availlable on all platforms that perform this function more efficiently and with so many other nuances.
From standard sequencing, Logic, Cubase etc to the more open frameworks of Ableton, Renoise and so on.
- oh & maybe make your own in MAX/MSP or PD

Composer's call really...as usual !

Simon
