Using transit doppler
« on: March 15, 2017, 09:53:06 PM »
Hi all,

Firstly apologies if I'm doing something silly, but any help would be much appreciated.

I recall using ( many years ago ) the transit doppler function in a basic stereo 2 speaker setup, in order to pan ( with doppler ) from far left (-90 degrees ) to far right ( +90 degrees ), wavefile1 from left to centre, then wavefile2 from centre to right. Hopefully this makes sense ?

I'm doing this: transit doppler 5 wavefile1.wav wavefile2.wav mix.mmx 4 <length in seconds of wavefile1+2> 2 1 0.1
and then: newmix multichan mix.mmx result.wav

As the transit function is setup for 8 speakers, and I want an output which pans from left to right in a 2 speaker setup, I'm having trouble figuring out how to set the focus parameter. I've tried most of the modes, and my attempts have left me a little confused at the result so I imagine I'm missing something !

Many thanks,

Tom
